New Balance Minimus: Picture and Further Details

I've seen a lot of rumors on-line lately about a soon-to-be released minimalist shoe from New Balance called the New Balance Minimus. Just saw a thread on the Runner's World barefoot running forum that linked to a site called Counterkicks that has an interview with NB shoe designer Kyle Strek. Included in the post is a design drawing of the Minimus (see below). Looks very interesting...

Update 7/27/10: New Balance just posted an interview with Katherine Petrecca, who is managing the upcoming NB Minimus collection. Based on information in this post, it looks like the Minimus line will all be 4 mm heel-toe drop shoes weighing in under 8.5 oz. There will be no insole. It's a very interesting interview - read it here: http://www.newbalance.com/performance/meet-nb-minimus-an-interview-with-katherine-petrecca/. Thanks to reader David H. for alerting me to this!

Update 7/29/2010: Some teaser pictures of the Minimus (trail model?) were just posted on BarefootRunningShoes.org: http://barefootrunningshoes.org/2010/07/28/new-balance-minimus-teaser-photos-and-surprises/
