Does Haile Gebreselassie Need Motion Control Shoes?


It doesn't take an expert in running gait analysis (which I am definitely not!) to look at Haile Gebreselassie's stride as a thing of beauty. Simply watch the video below an you'll see what I mean.



It was with some degree of surprise, then, that I watched the second video posted below which shows that Geb, the current marathon world record holder from Ethiopia, is quite the overpronator. Do you think someone should tell him that he needs to be wearing stability shoes?



Just some food for thought from a confused runner who is trying to figure out the best thing to be putting on his feet!
