Earlier today I posted an article about the evolution of running in humans. In that article, I discussed persistence hunting, which is a technique used in some native tribes whereby the hunter tracks and chases down a wild animal to the point of exhaustion, at which point it can essentially be killed with the bare hands. Well, it turns out that there is a video on YouTube from David Attenborough's The Life of Mammals that documents one such hunt by a group of Kalahari bushmen. If this amazing video doesn't make it clear why we are meant to run, I'm not sure what will. As a distance runner, simply watching it gave me chills:
